I'm doing what I love.

I got my start in glass thanks to the gift of a family membership for the Toledo Art Museum. The membership allowed me to purchase a class of my choosing. I feel so very fortunate that I was able to study under an artist at the Museum's World-renowned Glass Pavilion, and am able to continue to enjoy my passion at home in my modest studio.
When I can't be in the glass studio, I work with fiber: crochet, felting, embroidery, kumihimo, beaded loomwork, etc.
I also love animals. Besides my pets, I volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center a few times a year. I love sharing my desk with a blue jay or a crow, or sometimes a pigeon, or a duck. I've even had an opossum on my desk (a baby one)!
All of the items found in my catalog have been hand made by me. My mediums are yarn, felt, beads, shrink plastic, glass, silver, steel, crystal, cotton, and more.
I hope that my love for what I do shows in my work. There is room in the blog for your comments. Let me know what you think of what I'm doing.

My home studio is in my basement. My father made me a ventilation hood. I use natural gas with an oxygen boost through an oxygen concentrator. All of my glass work is annealed in a Chili Pepper Kiln. Moving my studio has been a real labor of love and I'm so glad it is up and running again. I'm more motivated than ever in my new workspace.
